Self-reporter, Naogaon: Bicycles have been distributed among students under the Prime Minister’s Office’s ‘Development Assistance for Special Areas’ program. In the morning, bicycles were distributed among school children of 10 small ethnic groups at Manda Upazila Parishad premises.
Local MP Muhammad Imaz Uddin Pramanik inaugurated the event by joining a video conference as the chief guest at the bicycle distribution function. After the Upazila Executive Officer (UNO) said. Abdul Halim handed over the bicycles to the students. Students of small ethnic groups and their parents have expressed their gratitude to Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina for getting the bicycles.
Nirin Chandra Ekka, president of Manda Upazila branch of Jatiya Adivasi Parishad, said, "Today, 10 schoolgirls of our small ethnic group were given bicycles by the Prime Minister." Earlier, 30 people were given bicycles. I express my gratitude to the Prime Minister for taking such an initiative by standing by the students of small ethnic groups. Manda Upazila Administrative Officer Abdus Salam Pramanik, Upazila Project Implementation Officer Rezaul Karim and other students and parents were present.
